Mother Teresa Children's Foundation helped to finance the purchase of lifesaving medicines and other essential goods, and an ambulance that travels about 100 miles a day, to provide relief and assistance to the indigent population. The programme is aimed at the sick and abandoned people living on the roadsides in India. Our mobile rescue unit is their only chance for survival as it enables them to receive proper aid and care. Volunteers also visit hospitals and shelters and help feed the patients. This service is provided regularly at St. Joseph's Home, Kottayam, Kerala, South India.
Our support is also offered in Pawalweed, Kottayam, where a mobile ambulance provides care for the elderly.
